The turbo gauge doesn’t work on my 1997 Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible. What is happenning ?
Answer : Tachometer and turbo gauge most common problem is because of the ground wire connection. Sometimes corrosion or wear can make the ground faulty. The ground wire could be connected to a good clean ground such as the steering column, frame or engine. The tachometer circuit cannot complete properly without a good functional ground, which leads to problems with various electrical systems especially the dashboard lights. Although they can often be repaired by replacing the wires, but this is one of the main reasons of tachometers fail.
